Brampton LTC is proud to be the first club in Greater London to include facilities and welcome people to join in Walking Tennis. As the name implies, Walking Tennis is a modified version of tennis played at a more gentle, slower pace.
Walking Tennis provides a relaxed and enjoyable way for people of all ages, abilities and fitness levels to stay active, socialise, and improve their tennis skills. It's especially well-suited for those who may have mobility issues or prefer a more laid-back approach to the game.
Walking tennis follows the same rules and scoring as traditional tennis and is played on standard sized tennis courts, However, players use smaller lighter rackets and softer balls, which are available at the club. Serves can be underarm and the ball is allowed to bounce twice during play. Brampton LTC is especially suited to walking tennis with its Matchplay
all-weather carpet playing surface which is more comfortable to play on than hard courts.
We look forward to welcoming you into our tennis community.
Please contact Keren if you would like to try out Walking Tennis or become a member and enjoy regular social play sessions with club facilities.
